Eindhoven University of Technology

Logo Eindhoven University of TechnologyThe Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry at the Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands) covers four research areas: Macro-Organic Chemistry and Molecular Materials, Polymer Chemistry and Materials, Reaction and Process Intensification and Catalysis and Energy Conversion Processes. The group functional materials and devices (SFD) within this faculty has an extensive expertise in theoretical and applied research related to nano- and micro-structured functional materials for applications in displays, lighting, sensors/actuators, biomedical applications and solar energy. The staff members within SFD cover the whole chain of knowledge in this field including theoretical physics (dr. D. de Boer, Philips, 0.2 FTE), synthesis (dr. A. Schenning, dr. J. Lub, Philips, 0.2 FTE), structure-property relationships, processing and applications (prof. D.J. Broer, dr. M. Debije, prof. dr. C.W.M. Bastiaansen).
